Parish is our gentle and thoughtful girl that is fiercely loyal to her people. She is deeply attached to Miller and we refer to them as “Todd & Copper.” Parish proved herself to be a stand-out girl in the conformation ring at just a young puppy. In 2025, she earned a GSPCA Regional specialty winners bitch for a huge 5 point major and then went on to win Owner-Handled Best of Breed over specials under breeder judge Char Rutar. Parish finished in 2026 with four majors and a Best of Opposite over a special. She is already well on her way to her GCH with a Best of Breed win over a top ranked special. She has also come to love nosework and dock diving. We expect her to excel in both venues. Parish loves her birds, like all shorthairs, and tends to be a close-range hunter with a natural retrieve. She is a joy to hunt with and always willing to please. She had the honor of attending a bird dog training seminar weekend in Wisconsin with me in 2025 where she got to run on wild prairie chickens, giving her early exposure to wild birds. Something we hope to get to do again some day.

In the home, Parish is the “wild child” and is without a doubt the most goofy and loving. When she’s relaxing she prefers to do so underneath your blanket at your feet. You will never find her without one of her stuffed animals in her mouth, even when she goes potty. She will never destroy them, only hold and cherish them. They are her little security blanket and it’s definitely her cutest quirk. Her favorite of her toys is a giant fuzzy highland cow.
